Roles & Responsibilities   Perform and assist with cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures including PCI and angioplasty
Support electrophysiology cases and manage pacemaker/AICD insertions and programming
Monitor patients during procedural sedation and manage procedural airway/ventilator needs as required
Perform sheath removal and monitor vascular access sites, using vascular closure devices when indicated
Administer and titrate IV therapies, emergency medications and vasopressors under protocol
Obtain and interpret 12-lead ECGs, recognize dysrhythmias and assist with cardioversion when needed
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate pre- and post-procedure care and patient flow
Accurately document care in Epic and communicate changes in patient status to physicians and team members
Qualifications   Current RN licensure (pending state licenses accepted) with at least 2 years of relevant Cath Lab or interventional experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required

Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures such as diagnostic caths, PCI, and pacemaker care
Comfortable working day shift 4x10 schedule with every-other-weekend coverage and on-call duties
Familiarity with Epic charting preferred
First-time travel nurses are welcome
Knowledge & Skills   Cardiac catheterization, PCI and peripheral vascular interventions
Electrophysiology procedures and pacemaker/AICD management
Sheath removal and use of vascular closure systems (Perclose, Star Close)
IV therapy, central line/port care and PICC maintenance
Monitoring procedural sedation, interpreting dysrhythmias and obtaining 12-lead ECGs
Ventilator management and end-tidal CO2 monitoring
Radiation safety and activated clotting time (ACT) monitoring
Proficient charting in Epic and strong infection prevention practices
