American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Level 1 Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with a 10-hour day shift schedule and no weekends, call, or holidays.
Details- Work in an 11-room OR at a 900+ bed Level 1 Trauma and Level 1 Pediatric Trauma, Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital with Chest Pain and Stroke Center designations
- Performs surgical cases across all service lines except Neurosurgery and Cardiovascular Thoracic
- All patient age groups, including pediatric
- Da Vinci XI robotic surgical system in use
- EMR:
Epic (experience preferred) - 10-hour day shifts, 0630–1700 (some shifts may extend to 1900)
- Schedule is set on a 6-week cycle
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
- No floating required
- Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience, with most recent experience within the last year
- Experience across multiple OR service lines preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
- Supported by Clinical Supervisors and Charge Nurses within the department
- Orientation length varies based on experience; includes a facility NEO and 2 days of departmental orientation
- Personal scrubs worn to and from the hospital; hospital-issued scrubs required while in the OR
- Free on-site parking available
- First-time travelers will be considered with strong OR experience
- Candidates who have previously held a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
- RTO requires manager approval
