You’ll provide compassionate daily care to our residents at Southminster and support their overall wellbeing.
Responsibilities- Provides personal hygiene care, including bathing, grooming, shaving, nail and skin care.
- Assist in toileting and bowel and bladder needs: gives bedpans, urinals, assists with toilet/bedside commode use, changes incontinent briefs all with attention to perineal/skin care.
- Help residents dress and eat, assist with meals and feed residents, monitor feeding to include passing trays, between‑meal nourishments, supplements, ice water, measuring intake and output, calorie count, determining percentage of meals eaten.
- Provides preventative care to include ROM, positioning and repositioning, appropriate application of physical restraints.
- Demonstrates dependability through punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work in a way that reflects Southminster’s C.A.R.E. (Centered Around Residents’ Experience) First! philosophy and attendance expectations.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of a state‑approved nurse aid program and currently listed on the North Carolina State Registry.
- Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English with residents and staff, following oral and written directions.
- Geriatric experience and CDM.
Lift up to 50lbs continuously and over 100lbs frequently.
Schedule- 1st Shift: 7:00a.m. – 3:30p.m., occasional weekends and holidays.
- 2nd Shift: 3p.m. – 11:30p.m., occasional weekends and holidays.
- 3rd Shift: 11:00p.m. – 7:30a.m., occasional weekends and holidays.
