Child Abuse Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Greater Charlotte, NC Area

Non‑Profit Children’s Advocacy Center – No Call – No Weekends – 4‑Day Work Week

Now Hiring! Pediatric Nurse Practitioner job in the Greater Charlotte, NC area – specifically, in Statesville, NC – with a well‑established, non‑profit Children’s Advocacy Center. This mission‑driven, outpatient‑only role serves clients referred for child medical examinations through child abuse and neglect investigations in a structured, supportive environment.

Job Details

Full‑time or Part‑time, outpatient‑only, 4‑Day Work Week. Two scheduled patient appointments per day – appointments are 2–3 hours. Works with multidisciplinary partners (law enforcement, DSS, social services, etc.) to support investigations and provide trauma‑informed care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Medical Evaluations (≈70%) – Perform 5–7 exams weekly, including preparation, documentation, and participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
  • Clinical Documentation & Follow‑Up (≈20%) – Prepare CME reports, review lab and radiology results, and ensure appropriate follow‑up care.
  • Additional Responsibilities (≈10%) – Attend staff and medical team meetings; provide education and mentorship to students or residents; participate in community and professional training events; may be required to provide testimony.

    Qualifications
    • Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing (Pediatric Focus Preferred)
    • Board Certified by the ANCC or AANP as a Nurse Practitioner
    • Current/Active DEA licensure (as applicable)
    • Rostered CME Provider through the CMEP Program (assistance available if not already obtained)
    • Ongoing CME and licensure maintenance as required
    • Medical knowledge of child abuse issues / willingness to complete needed training
