Where You Will WorkAtrium Health One Day Surgery is a hospital-based outpatient department with 11 Operating Rooms on the campus of Carolinas Medical Center in the heart of Charlotte. We perform approximately 800 surgeries per month. We perform General surgery, Pediatric and Adult Urology, Gynecology, Robotic, Oncology, Plastic/Reconstruction, Orthopedic, and EENT. The team is a small, close-knit group. We offer schedule tracks for Monday‑Friday and no call.
We have OR committees, including a Sunshine Committee, which plans events for the team.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Previous Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and clear skill communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
