Job Overview

Full‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position in Obstetrics/Gynecology at Eastover OBGYN Locations (The Plaza). The position requires a 40‑hour work week, offers a pay range of $24.10 to $36.15 per hour, and is eligible for a sign‑on bonus.

• Prepare and room patients, obtain vital signs, and update pertinent health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures such as strep test, wound culture, and specimen collection using aseptic technique.
• Assist the physician or provider with procedures and surgeries including pelvic exams, allergy scratch testing, EMG, cautery, and colposcopy.
• Administer medications under provider orders, including immunizations, antibiotics, pain medications, vitamins, topical agents, and insulin; initiate, maintain, and discontinue IV therapy with selected fluids.
• Provide basic patient education on tasks, treatment, and self‑care; manage referrals, prescription refills, and appointments.
• Communicate with physicians and the health care team; document accurate and timely patient information.
• Perform advanced clinical tasks such as removal of sutures and staples, catheterization, audiograms, phlebotomy, EKG, spirometry, Holter monitoring, casting, and complex wound care under supervision.
• Organize and prepare exam rooms, lab, and work areas, including cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
• Complete routine maintenance and quality monitoring of clinic equipment, including sterilization and instrument care.
• Participate in patient‑centered initiatives, care management, performance, and quality improvement activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for the age of patients served and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the student practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required within 45 days of hire.

Completion of an accredited or approved practical nursing program.

No experience required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport with patients, staff, and physicians.
• Strong organization, prioritization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding, navigation within a Windows operating system, and use of electronic medical records systems.

• Must sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday.
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor‑to‑waist, lift up to 20 lbs overhead, and carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
• Push/pull with a 30‑lb force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present.
• Will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood, and body fluid hazards; protective clothing and equipment required.
• Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch, and ability to use fine‑hand manipulation skills.
• Operate all equipment essential to perform the job.
