Pay Range: $41.10 - $61.65 per hour
Where You Will Work: The SANE team (sexual assault nurse examiner) is a team of nurses who care for sexually assaulted patients or patients who have experienced domestic violence‑related abuse presenting to our 12 Atrium Health facilities in Mecklenburg County/Charlotte NC. We are specifically trained and educated to thoroughly examine patients, provide evidence collection, and medically treat after an assault. Our team has specialized training in sexual assault trauma‑informed care.
We are looking for SANEs who have completed training and are ready to provide compassionate care.
We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Certification encouraged: IATA SANE Adult/Adolescent (SANE‑A) and SANE Pediatric (SANE‑P)
- Typically requires 2‑3 years of experience in clinical nursing within an acute care setting

- Provide comprehensive patient care through the nursing process and deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Apply evidence‑based practice and clinical decision making, communicate compassionately, and lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health, a Level 1 Trauma center, Magnet‑designated, and an approved transplant center.
