Registered Nurse; RN

Overview

Novant Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for diverse patient populations using evidence-based practices and advanced technology. Responsibilities include medication administration, care coordination, patient and family education, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. RNs will uphold strict safety and quality standards, maintain accurate documentation in the EMR, and support a culture of diversity, respect, and continuous improvement while pursuing ongoing professional development.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and elevate concerns appropriately
• Document care and assessments in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and self-care
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Maintain infection control, safety, and quality standards
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Support a culture of diversity, respect, and personalized care
• Engage in ongoing professional development and competency training
• Patient assessment

• Active RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification
• ACLS preferred
• PALS or NRP preferred depending on unit
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
