Where You Will WorkLCH 7S Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery:
In the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery, we provide critical, life‑saving newborn care. We are a level IV NICU with 53 licensed beds. We are the referral center for the region, caring for the most acutely ill and vulnerable patients. From the smallest premature newborns with complicated heart disease, we care for babies with every neonatal condition. We offer an in‑depth onboarding process for those without previous NICU experience.
We’re Looking For
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS certification is required within 6 months of hire.
- One year of pediatric in‑patient RN experience is preferred.
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

At 247 beds, LCH is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. We have 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a newly expanded 24 bed PICU and 20 bed Cardiac ICU, an 85‑bed Level IV NICU, and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation floor. Levine Children’s Hospital is also Charlotte’s only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. LCH has been named a Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report for 18 consecutive years and is nationally ranked in 7 pediatric specialties.
