LCH 8P Progressive Care Unit, 8th floor step-down unit.

Schedule:

3 12-hour shifts per week (7 p – 7 a), 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday requirements.

Pay: $38.20 – $57.30 per hour.

The 8P Progressive Care Unit is a 24-bed pediatric progressive care unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 3:1. It cares for cardiac, nephrology, kidney, heart and liver transplant, and other progressive children.

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience.

• Completed accredited or approved nursing program.
• At least 6 months RN experience (not for new graduates).
• Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred: at least 1 year inpatient RN experience.
