Registered Nurse

Overview

Novant Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Telemetry to provide high-quality, evidence-based care for diverse adult populations. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, interpret cardiac telemetry, administer medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes. You will educate patients and families, ensure accurate documentation, and promote safety and infection control.

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Continuously monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members on care coordination
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR
• Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and quality standards
• Respond to changes in patient condition and participate in rapid response situations
• Support a culture of diversity, respect, and continuous professional growth
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Cardiac rhythm recognition
• Medication administration and titration
• IV therapy and venipuncture
• Wound care and post-surgical management
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation
• Patient and family education
• Care planning and clinical assessment
• Infection prevention and control
• Emergency response and ACLS interventions

• Active RN license (state of practice)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Telemetry/arrhythmia interpretation competency
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (preferred)
