As the ADON, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing daily clinical operations, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will work side-by-side with the Director of Nursing to drive quality initiatives, mentor staff, and maintain excellence in resident care.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily operations of the nursing department alongside the DON
- Lead, coach, and develop nursing staff to ensure strong clinical performance
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and retention of nursing team members
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Conduct audits, chart reviews, and quality assurance initiatives
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team collaboration
- Step in as acting DON as needed
- Active, unencumbered RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey readiness
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment
- BSN preferred
- Experience in infection control, staff development, or quality improvement
