Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Atrium Health Outpatient Infectious Disease Cabarrus FT

Position Overview

Job Title: Ambulatory RN – Infectious Disease (Cabarrus)

Atrium Health Infectious Disease Cabarrus is looking for an Ambulatory RN to support triage, care coordination for at‑home infusion patients, and clinic patient care. The RN will work closely with providers and the clinical support team.

This role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care, applying evidence‑based practice, and fostering the best patient experience.

Employment Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm

Hours per week: 40

Pay Range: $35.50 – $53.25 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Apply evidence‑based practice and clinical decision‑making while communicating effectively.
  • Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and provide the best patient experience.
  • Support triage, care coordination for at‑home infusion patients, and clinic patient care.
  • Collaborate closely with providers and the clinical support team.
Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the candidate practices.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience preferred.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Experience in ambulatory care, med‑surg, home health, infectious disease, or care coordination preferred.
  • Strong assessment, triage, and patient education skills.
  • Experience managing chronic and complex patient populations is a plus.
