Vital Core Health Strategies (VCHS), an industry leader in Correctional Healthcare has openings for a Nurse Practitioner at Mecklenburg County Detention Center North in Charlotte, North Carolina for PRN (8 hours / week).

At least 1 year experience in Correctional desired but not required or at least 3 years of NP experience in a non-correctional environment

NURSE PRACTITIONER POSITION SUMMARY

The Nurse Practitioner utilizes the medical model to meet a variety of healthcare needs with ambulatory care as their primary focus in a correctional environment. The NP/PA works with a variety of healthcare professionals/security officers in a correctional environment to provide basic medical services supervised by a licensed Physician.

NURSE PRACTITIONER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited college/university NP or PA program
• Must possess current NP license in North Carolina
• At least 1 year Experience in Correctional desired but not required or at least 3 years of NP experience in a non-correctional environment
• Acute care experience preferred
