Where You Will WorkThe 10T Medical Telemetry unit has a reputation for innovation and excellence. It has served as the pioneering unit for COVID‑19 medical‑surgical care during the pandemic and is recognized with the PRISM award from the Academy of Medical/Surgical Nurses. The unit provides 24‑hour inpatient care to adults (18 +) with acute medical and/or surgical conditions, including COPD, diabetes, chest pain, pneumonia, and fluid & electrolyte imbalances, and can monitor up to 16 telemetry patients.
Qualifications- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- At least 6 months of RN experience; minimum two years preferred. Previous management experience preferred.
- BSN required. RN candidates without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of hire/transfer and complete it within 3 years.
- Appropriate professional certification (clinical or leadership) required within 1 year of eligibility for the certification exam. Additional education, training, or experience may be required within the department.
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Use evidence‑based practice and clinical decision making to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.
