American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2 years of relevant experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

• Surgery Center PACU unit setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts (6:00-14:30 or 7:30-16:00)

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• 2 years of relevant RN experience required
• Two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months highly preferred at time of consideration, required by start date

• Weekly orientation provided
• Pre-start and annual completion of training modules required, with hours varying by specialty
• Previous PERM/PRN/EP staff employees of the health system must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler, with facility rehire approval needed
• RTO of 7 days or less can be auto-approved if it does not fall on a holiday; additional RTO requires facility approval; no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Travel pairs allowed, provided each has their own transportation and is comfortable with differing schedules
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates interested in contracts longer than 13 weeks, or preferring 36 or 48 hours per week, are welcome to indicate this preference

The weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, reflects the lower end of this range for local candidates and higher end of this range for travel candidates. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines.

Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
