We’re Looking ForWe are seeking a
dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN)to join the Neurosurgery Emergency Service inpatient team. Ideal nursing candidates demonstrate a strong commitment to service excellence, nursing excellence, and adaptability.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Current BLS certification, ACLS preferred
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience preferred
- Prior inpatient Neurosurgery and critical care experience preferred
- Monday – Friday 7:00a – 3:30p
- Carolinas Medical Center
- Main, Neurosurgical ICU
- Attend 7amE service sign-out toassistwith daily coordination of patient care plans
- In conjunction with Neurosurgery provider, attenddailyneuroICU multidisciplinary roundsto help with neurosurgical aspects of patient care
- Coordinate care plans with neurosurgery andtraumaICU team
- Organize outpatient follow upwith necessary imagingin clinicat the time of appointment.
Facilitate communication with patients and families to helpensureappropriate post-discharge follow-up. - Coordinate with9
Tnavigator tofacilitatecommunicationifpatients need transfer to NSICU - Coordinate with social workers toassistwith expedited disposition opportunities
Working knowledge of the components of quality and acute patient care needs.
Maintains clinical expertise to effectively manage physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs of patients throughout the care continuum.
Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills necessary to negotiate with families, patient, physicians, and third-party payers.
Demonstrated ability to work well with physicians and other professionals in a direct and positive manner.
