Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department Where You Will WorkThe Steele Creek Emergency Department features a well-designed layout to support efficient, high-quality patient care, including 12 major medical beds with both an adult-specific resuscitation room and a dedicated pediatric resuscitation room. In addition, the unit offers 8 rapid medical evaluation/minor care beds to support lower-acuity patients and improve throughput, along with 4 triage bays to facilitate timely patient assessment and flow.
This structure allows the team to effectively manage a wide range of patient acuity levels in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of inpatient critical care experience required
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Atrium Health Steele Creek Emergency Department, Atrium Health’s first freestanding emergency department located in Charlotte, NC
-15 to 20 minutes from Uptown and two miles from the North Carolina/South Carolina state line. We see roughly 41,000 annually including adults and children of all ages. Our team is made up of top-notch Nurses, Healthcare Techs, Paramedics, Respiratory Therapists and Providers including Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
