Job Opportunity – Geriatric Behavioral Health Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Rotating shifts including weekends; patient ratio 5–9 patients; no on-call required

• 9-bed geriatric behavioral health inpatient unit in a Level II trauma center and Magnet-designated facility
• Collaborative team environment with dedicated RNs, behavioral health technicians, and support staff

  Cerner; unit equipped with vital signs machines, IV capability, bladder scanners, and safety monitoring equipment
• Opportunity to work with a specialized geriatric population requiring both behavioral health and medical care

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in North Carolina or compact state
• BLS certification required
• Experience in behavioral health and medical nursing preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Compassionate approach to geriatric patient care
• De-escalation skills preferred
