Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, ;
Call required 2 days per week and every 3rd weekend;
Every 3rd weekend required;
Contract available through February 27, 2027

Highlights:

• Circulating role in a high-acuity CVOR environment with no scrub duties required
• Diverse case mix including CABG, valve replacements (AVR, MVR, TVR), aortic dissections, TAVR, laser lead extractions, thoracic procedures, and advanced mechanical support (ECMO, Impella)
• 1:1 patient ratio with approximately 6 cases per day across 3 operating rooms
• Epic charting system with 24 hours of structured orientation based on experience level
• May float to main OR as needed based on CVOR volume; scrubs provided
• Contract extensions available for qualified candidates

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• ECMO and Impella experience required
• Experience with circulating cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
• Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred
• Willingness to participate in storm/hurricane response team as assigned
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Flexibility required:
  No time off requests after contract acceptance; must work 2 of 3 major holidays
