Travel Nurse Source  is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Salisbury, North Carolina, 28144!

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Salisbury, NC | Acute Care

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Perform cardiac monitoring duties including interpretation of dysrhythmias and participation in Rapid Response and Code team activations
• Manage IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care and management, peripheral line care, and starting and maintaining IVs
• Apply respiratory support skills including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Adhere to isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
• Float to all areas holding Med-Surg patients as needed per unit requirements; strong Med-Surg background required

• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience required
• BCLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and respiratory support skills as outlined
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome to apply; a modified local rate will apply

• Telemetry experience with demonstrated ability in management of dysrhythmias
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification
• Chemotherapy administration experience and/or certification
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position

• Work within a structured, well-supported unit utilizing Epic and Pyxis, with a 24-hour orientation to help you get started
• Gain valuable experience in a dynamic Med-Surg / Telemetry environment with a team that supports both experienced travelers and first-time travel nurses
