Travel Nurse Source is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Hickory, North Carolina, 28601!
Job TitleTravel RN – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Days (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM) | Onsite | Expected 36 hours/week | Weekends rotate every other
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 32-bed Emergency Department serving a birth-to-death patient population in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Utilize critical care thinking to assess, prioritize, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of diagnoses including strokes, STEMIs, and trauma
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment; document accurately using Cerner EHR
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 while delivering strong patient and family experience
- Rotate to other areas of the facility as needed based on individual competencies (helping hands float model)
- Adhere to call requirements, which may include push-back hours depending on census
- Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- ACLS certification required
- PALS or ENPC certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
- Must be available to start on one of the designated facility orientation dates:
October 12, October 26, November 9, November 16, or December 7
- Prior experience in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
- Experience managing stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients
- Energetic, knowledgeable, and able to maintain stamina in a high-volume environment
- Work within a well-equipped, full-service regional medical center home to specialized centers including a Brain Center, Heart Center, Cancer Center, and Level 3 NICU
- Gain broad clinical exposure in an ED that receives all trauma types across a comprehensive patient population
