Employment Type: Full-Time Monday
- Friday, 40 hours per week, starting at 7am
Location: Charlotte, NC 28217

Pay Range: $22-26 depending on experience, also open for negotiation for you Super Stars out there!

Position Summary

The Estate Gardener is responsible for the comprehensive care, maintenance, and enhancement of the estate’s gardens, lawns, landscaped areas, and outdoor features. This role requires advanced horticultural knowledge, attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to maintain high aesthetic standards appropriate to a private estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain lawns, flower beds, shrubs, trees, hedges, and ornamental plantings.
  • Perform planting, pruning, trimming, fertilizing, mulching, and pest control.
  • Design and implement seasonal planting displays.
  • Maintain irrigation systems and ensure proper watering schedules.
  • Monitor plant health and soil conditions.
  • Maintain pathways, driveways, patios, and outdoor structures.
  • Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools.
  • Ensure grounds are clean, safe, and visually pristine at all times.
  • Manage composting and green waste disposal.
  • Develop long-term planting and landscaping plans.
  • Source plants, seeds, fertilizers, and supplies.
  • Assist in preparation of grounds for events or special occasions.
  • Safely operate mowers, trimmers, hedge cutters, and other machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and environmentally responsible practices.
Qualifications & Skills

Formal training or certification in horticulture, landscaping, or related field preferred.

Minimum 7 years’ experience in estate, botanical garden, or high-end residential gardening.

Strong knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, soil management, and pest control.

  • Extensive knowledge in pant identification

Ability to operate landscaping machinery safely.

Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

High level of discretion, reliability, and professionalism.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
