The Stump Grinding Technician is responsible for operating stump grinding equipment and supporting tree crews during the final phase of tree removal services. This role ensures stumps are safely removed and job sites are left clean and ready for customers. • Operate stump grinding equipment on residential and commercial job sites.
• Grind and remove stumps according to customer work orders.
• Haul, move, and rake grindings as needed.

• Safely operate stump grinders, trucks, and trailers.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment.

• Coordinate with municipal line‑marking services before grinding.
• Complete job site assessments and identify potential hazards.
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements.

• Communicate with crew leaders, managers, and customers regarding job status and special requests.
• Assist with general tree work and job site cleanup when needed.

• Experience working outdoors or operating equipment preferred.
• Ability to operate trucks with trailers and obtain a CDL if required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical outdoor work in various weather conditions.
