** Senior Manager, Feed Safety & Quality
** is responsible for leading all feed safety, regulatory compliance, and quality management systems across the company’s feed manufacturing facilities. This role ensures full compliance with FDA FSMA regulations and other applicable federal and state requirements while driving continuous improvement in feed quality, operational performance, and food safety culture. The position provides technical expertise, system-wide oversight, and strategic leadership to support safe, efficient, and compliant feed production that optimizes animal performance.

* WHAT YOU’LL DO:

** Regulatory & Compliance
*** Oversee all feed safety, quality, and regulatory programs to ensure full compliance with FDA FSMA and USDA requirements and other applicable regulations.
* Ensure adherence to Packers & Stockyards (P&S) regulations related to fair feed weighing, recordkeeping, and transparent transactions.
* Manage feed manufacturing registration and license renewals.
* Lead and support all FDA inspections at company feed mills.
2.
** Food Safety System Management
*** Design, implement, and manage FSMA compliance programs across all mills, including Food Safety & Quality Plans.
* Maintain and update SOPs to ensure practices remain current, compliant, and consistently applied.
* Implement FSMA and food safety training for all feed mill employees; oversee PCQI certification requirements.
* Develop and manage the Supplier Verification Program (SVP).
* Ensure compliance with all feeding system regulatory requirements, including documentation and functionality.
* Oversee and maintain feed labels and sequencing charts for company facilities.

** Verification, Audits & Documentation
*** Maintain accurate documentation, verification records, and audit readiness.
* Conduct routine mill visits, internal audits, and facility performance assessments.
* Perform mock feed recalls and maintain traceability readiness.
4.
** Investigations & Corrective Action
*** Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
* Respond promptly to process deviations, hazards, and documentation issues using data-driven decision making.
* Provide technical support to resolve recurring quality failures such as assay failures or pellet quality issues.
5.
** Continuous Improvement & Operational Support
*** Partner with Feed Milling and Operations teams to proactively prevent FSMA, HACCP, SOP, and production failures.
* Develop system-wide improvement plans and train teams to uphold high safety and quality standards.
* Evaluate quality control processes to streamline workflows and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
* Identify and implement technology improvements that enhance analytical accuracy and reduce costs.
