Job Description
To support the project management and quality assurance organization by QA oversight and leading/executing audits across supplier, contractor, and project quality systems. In addition to supporting the group in metrics, tracking, reporting, and other deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality assurance oversight for utility-scale renewable energy and power generation construction projects.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and field assessments of contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor construction activities and perform routine site visits to verify quality and workmanship.
- Review contractor quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), procedures, and project documentation.
- Identify, document, and help resolve quality issues, nonconformances, and corrective actions.
- Evaluate supplier and contractor quality programs for effectiveness and compliance.
- Prepare detailed inspection, audit, and quality assessment reports.
- Partner with project teams to ensure quality requirements are incorporated throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee quality activities related to equipment fabrication, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of quality assurance processes, procedures, and reporting.
- Track quality metrics and provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with construction, engineering, and project management teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and to quality expectations.
- Travel to construction sites and supplier facilities to perform audits, inspections, and quality assessments.
Required Experience:
- 15+ years of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Construction Management, or related experience.
- Experience supporting large utility, renewable energy, industrial, or power generation construction projects.
- Strong background in supplier quality management, auditing, and contractor oversight.
- Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and quality management systems.
- Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% to project sites and supplier locations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Procore and SharePoint preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Working experience with Procore.
- Working experience with SharePoint.
- Proficient working experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
