What’s it for you:As Process Quality Engineer you will be responsible for day‑to‑day process quality, material quality, field‑related issues, and own quality from incoming inspection shipping.
What you will do:- Audit and maintain processes in optimal conditions for CTV and legacy compressor products.
- Ensure reliable results and compliance with quality requirements.
- Keep method sheets updated, along with visual aids, formats, and quality‑at‑the‑source records.
- Update PFMEA for any product or process changes.
- Update and ensure compliance with the Control Plan.
- Update and ensure compliance with JSA (Job Safety Analysis).
- Measure, analyze, and improve SCRAP, First Pass Yield, Defect Per Unit, Downtime, and line efficiency metrics.
- Analyze concessions and warranties.
- Support and follow up on engineering changes.
- Manage and implement new projects.
- Lead and assist with the qualification of new equipment while working with engineers
- Participate in Gemba walks and RIEs (Rapid Improvement Events).
- Support and follow up on MDI (Managing for Daily Improvement) boards.
- Analyze and follow up on complaints and CARs (Corrective Action Requests).
- Control and maintain tools and equipment.
- Lead root cause investigation of in‑house and field failures
- Do the research for MTO items and create BOMs and routing appropriately
- Practical Manufacturing & Quality
Experience:
3–5+ years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment (experience with CTV or legacy compressor products preferred, no degree required). - Core Quality Tools & Methodology:
Strong expertise in maintaining PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to ensure process stability and regulatory compliance. - Continuous Improvement & Metrics‑Driven Problem Solving:
Proven track record of participating in Gemba walks, RIEs (Rapid Improvement Events), and managing MDI boards to improve metrics like FPY, DPU, Scrap, and Downtime. - Failure Analysis & Corrective Actions:
Demonstrated ability to lead Root Cause Investigations for in‑house or field failures and manage CARs (Corrective Action Requests) and warranties. - Process Documentation & Systems
Competency:
Hands‑on experience keeping method sheets/visual aids updated, managing engineering changes, and researching/creating BOMs and routings for MTO (Make‑to‑Order) items.
