Hybrid, onsite 2x/week. We are seeking a mid-level QA Automation Engineer to support testing efforts for complex web-based applications within a highly collaborative Agile environment. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, QA functional teams, and developers to create test specifications, develop and execute automated and manual test cases, perform regression testing, and ensure the quality of enterprise software releases.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Playwright and Type Script, a solid foundation in software testing principles, and the ability to understand both the technical and business objectives behind the applications they are validating. Experience with modern AI tooling and concepts such as MCP, Codex, agent workflows, or similar technologies is preferred but secondary to strong QA automation fundamentals.

• 5+ years of QA Engineering or QA Automation experience
• Hands-on experience with Playwright automation testing
• Strong coding experience with Type Script and/or Java
• Experience testing web-based applications
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile development practices
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, test specifications, and regression test suites
• Experience with API testing and validation of JSON payloads
• Experience testing both UI and backend functionality
• Ability to analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and communicate findings effectively
• Strong understanding of the business impact of testing efforts and quality initiatives
• Familiarity with Git Hub or other source control platforms

• Experience developing or enhancing automation frameworks
• Experience with AI-related technologies, including MCP (Model Context Protocol), Codex CLI, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools
• Understanding of agent skills, tool invocation, and modern AI-assisted development workflows
• Experience with Cypress
• Experience working within financial services, ratings, or other highly regulated environments
• Familiarity with prompt engineering concepts and AI testing methodologies
• Experience participating in technical design discussions and automation strategy planning

• Partner with business stakeholders and QA functional teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Type Script
• Develop test specifications and validation scenarios for new functionality
• Execute regression, functional, integration, API, and UI testing
• Analyze failed test executions and identify root causes
• Communicate testing results, risks, and defects to project teams and stakeholders
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and release planning activities
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of QA processes, automation coverage, and release quality
• Collaborate with developers to ensure issues are resolved and validated prior to production releases
