Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer to lead the transformation of testing across a complex Fin Tech communications ecosystem, encompassing voice, telephony, unified communications, and electronic communications platforms. This role is central to a multi-year strategic initiative to transition from manual validation processes to a scalable, automation-first testing model. The successful candidate will design and implement enterprise-grade automation frameworks that support continuous certification, post-upgrade validation, and release readiness across a portfolio of 50+ applications, while also advising architects and engineering teams on designing systems optimized for automated validation.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable test automation frameworks supporting a large and diverse application ecosystem.
- Define bespoke automation approaches aligned to system architecture, integration complexity, and risk profiles.
- Integrate vendor-supplied automation tools and frameworks with enterprise-standard solutions.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend low-code/no-code and AI-assisted automation platforms to accelerate delivery and improve adaptability.
- Implement automation solutions to support certification of new software releases, CVE-related remediations, and post-upgrade validation across the install base.
- Ensure comprehensive validation across UI/visual application workflows, APIs, system integrations, and voice and telephony communication flows.
- Support the transition from manual testing to automation-first validation models and define risk-based test coverage strategies.
- Establish standardized testing practices enabling continuous validation within CI/CD pipelines and drive adoption of modern testing methodologies like BDD.
- 5+ years of experience in designing and developing test automation frameworks in complex enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Rest-Assured, Cucumber, or Postman.
- Strong programming proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and/or Type Script.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous testing and release validation.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments, collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to define and implement risk-based test coverage strategies, spanning both manual and automated testing.
- Demonstrated experience reducing manual testing dependency through automation at scale.
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation.
- Experience in Fin Tech, financial markets, or regulated environments.
- Exposure to voice and telephony systems (e.g., VoIP, SIP, call recording, or unified communications platforms).
- Experience validating real-time communications workflows and audio-based interactions.
- Familiarity with low-code/no-code test automation platforms and AI-assisted testing tools.
- Experience working with or integrating vendor-provided testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of compliance-driven testing and audit-defensible validation practices.
