Our client is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Aircraft Quality Inspector to join their esteemed aviation division based in George . This role is pivotal in ensuring that all maintenance and repair work performed on aircraft meets stringent regulatory standards and the company's internal quality benchmarks. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, identifying discrepancies, and verifying that all work is carried out in accordance with approved data and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed inspections of aircraft, components, and maintenance work performed by technicians to ensure compliance with airworthiness directives, manufacturers' specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review maintenance records, work orders, and technical documentation to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify, document, and report any non-conformities, defects, or deviations from approved standards.
  • Certify that all works meet the required quality standards before the aircraft is released for service.
  • Conduct audits of maintenance processes, workshops, and tool calibration to ensure compliance with quality management systems.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, such as the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA), during audits and inspections.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an aircraft quality control or inspection role.
  • Possession of a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license (e.g., SA-CAA) or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation quality management systems (e.g., AS9100) and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and maintenance manuals for various aircraft types.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to make objective judgments.
  • Experience with auditing processes and non-conformance reporting systems.
