Job Description

We’re looking for a Leasing Consultant who will help our residents find the right home and provide exceptional service. If you’re ready to be a part of our team, we encourage you to apply.

Essential Job Functions
  • Meet with prospective residents, identify their housing needs, interview them to determine eligibility based on established criteria, show vacant and model suites and property amenities using company techniques. Quote established rental rates and promotions. Make follow-up calls, send follow-up literature, and pursue rental status. Collect funds related to applications, security deposits and rentals. Manage all internet leads and ensure proper follow up.

    Maintain social media activity on different platforms and strive to increase engagement through posts and responses to reviews and ratings. (30%)
  • Complete applicant screening process and prepare appropriate correspondence based upon the result. (15%)
  • Prepare leases and related leasing addendums. Maintain lease records and files. Maintain property waiting list and other updates to various records and reports in accordance with policy and procedures, applicable affordable housing programs and HUD/Agency regulations. (15%)
  • Support and ensure timely input, proper use and full utilization of on-site PC-based property management software for leasing data. (10%)
  • Ensure apartments are ready for occupancy by inspecting, placing move‑in products and last‑minute touches when necessary. Distribute keys, move‑in package, safety video and other appropriate paperwork at time of lease signing. (10%)
  • Maintain current knowledge of marketing and leasing techniques. Strive to attain affirmative marketing goals. Seek out new residents through outreach, direct marketing, cold calling, distributing literature and contacting government, social, religious and community organizations in selected target areas. Maintain current knowledge of apartments, building amenities and local agencies or attractions of interest to residents. Maintain awareness of current rental rates and promotions of competitive properties, including visiting competitor properties to better understand their product, marketing and sales techniques.

Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Associate degree in Customer Service/Hospitality preferred.
  • 1–2 years of leasing or sales experience required.
  • 1–2 years of experience working in multisite preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license depending on property preferred.
  • Required skills:

    fair housing laws, affordable housing programs, Microsoft Office, personal accountability, persuasiveness, and customer service.
  • Preferred skill:
    Yardi/CRM 8.
  • May be required to work weekends – Saturday and Sunday.
