Minimum Experience/
Education:
Postdoctoral appointee must have earned a Ph.D. degree within the past five years from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related areas.
- Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related areas awarded within the last five years.
- SRAM design, fabrication, and testing: Expertise in all areas is highly preferred.
- Design, fabrication, and testing of photonic integrated circuits: Experience in these fields will be considered a significant advantage.
- Semiconductor Memory Technologies: particularly with experience in SRAM design, fabrication, and testing.
- Electronic-Photonic Integrated Circuits: Experience in design, fabrication, and testing of photonic integrated circuits, and their integration with electronic integrated circuits.
A Postdoctoral Fellow is a professional apprenticeship designed to provide recent Ph.D. recipients with an opportunity to develop further research skills. The Fellow will work under a faculty mentor, conduct independent research, publish results, and assist in graduate student instruction.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting original research in SRAM technology and electronic‑photonic integration.
- Collaborating with team members and co‑authors on publications.
- Mentoring graduate students under faculty supervision.
- Assisting in grant proposal development and securing external funding.
- Appointee was recently (within last five years) awarded a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate.
- Appointment is temporary.
- Appointment involves substantially full‑time research or scholarship.
- Appointment is preparatory for a full‑time academic and/or research career.
- Appointee works under the supervision of a faculty member.
- Appointee is expected to publish results during the appointment.
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to participate in a project developing FET‑LET hybrid SRAM – an electronic‑photonic integrated circuit at the signal‑functional‑unit level. The researcher will report to Dr. Yong Zhang, contribute to grant proposals, mentor students, and publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
