Eligibility

Must have earned a Ph.D., Sc.D., or M.D. within the last eight years.

Preferred Experience , Skills & Training
  • Experience with pangenomics, structural variation, and synteny analysis.
  • Background in ecological genomics or plant adaptation.
  • Experience mentoring students.
  • Publication record in quantitative genomics or evolutionary analysis.
  • Interest in developing and leading research on new model systems.
Responsibilities

The Postdoctoral Fellow will: develop research skills, conduct research, publish results, and provide research instruction to graduate students under the supervision of a faculty mentor. The fellow will work independently within the mentor’s research focus, contribute to faculty research, and prepare for a full‑time academic or research career.

  • Research under a faculty mentor and publish results.
  • Actively participate in research instruction for graduate students.
  • Prepare manuscripts and presentations.
  • Engage in scholarly activities outside the laboratory to broaden postdoc aspirations.
Additional Information
  • Temporary appointment, up to one year at a time, with renewal possible, limited to five years total.
  • Full‑time research or scholarship at 1.0 FTE.
  • Postdoc will prepare for a full‑time academic and/or research career.
