Our client, an industry leader in scientific research and development, is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. As a Lab Technician, you will be part of the scientific support department, supporting research and quality control teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: South Charlotte, NC
Pay Range: $25
Shift: First Shift Sunday - Saturday 7 days
What's the Job?
- Perform chemical, biological, physical, and mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products.
- Assist with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results accurately.
- Follow established procedures and methods to ensure consistency and quality in testing.
- Work in a hands-on environment, lifting up to 50 lbs and operating various laboratory equipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
What's Needed?
- Experience working in a laboratory or technical environment is required.
- Good mechanical and chemical aptitude with specific training in inspection procedures or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with equipment such as SEM, EDS, and TOC analyzers is helpful.
- Background in physical chemistry or coursework related to chemical sciences is highly desirable.
- Must be flexible to work outside regular hours occasionally and be able to work in environments with dust, dirt, and industrial fluids.
