Server Job Description

The role of a server is incredibly diverse, demanding individuals who are full of energy, capable of working with a sense of urgency, and possess a genuine desire to care for others. Serving is not a profession for the faint-hearted, as no two days in the life of a server ever look the same. It is an ever-changing and dynamic job that requires adaptability and a constant willingness to go the extra mile.

Server

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
  • Deliver checks and collect payments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
  • Build and maintain rapport with customers to ensure a positive dining experience
  • Upsell additional food and beverage items
  • Collaborate with other servers and staff to provide excellent customer service
  • Follow all safety and health regulations
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to constantly improve skills and knowledge of the menu and restaurant
  • Adhere to restaurant policies and procedures

Successful bartenders should possess excellent customer service skills, strong multitasking abilities, and the ability to work well under pressure. They should have a thorough knowledge of different cocktails and spirits, as well as the ability to create unique and innovative drinks. Bartenders must also have a good understanding of basic math and be able to handle cash transactions accurately. Previous experience working in a similar role is typically required.
