Key Responsibilities:
- Craft a wide variety of high-quality pastries, cakes, tarts, breads, and plated desserts that will wow our clients and guests.
- Work collaboratively with our team while maintaining a positive attitude, no matter how busy things get.
- Keep your work area clean and organized, adhering to strict sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- Ensure all products are properly prepared, handled, labeled, and stored for optimal freshness and safety.
- Follow recipes carefully and adapt them as needed for special projects and catering events.
- Maintain consistency in quality and presentation across all baked goods.
- Be part of a team that executes off-site events with precision, ensuring we meet the highest standards of service and quality.
- Take on other exciting challenges as assigned by the Chef and Sous Chef.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience:
At least 1 year of pastry or culinary experience in a professional kitchen, or a pastry degree. - Skills:
Proficiency in baking techniques, including breads, cakes, tarts, pastries, and plated desserts. Experience with large-scale production is a plus. - Teamwork: A team player who’s also capable of working independently when needed.
- Attention to Detail:
You take pride in your work, ensuring each pastry and dessert is crafted to perfection. - Passion & Creativity: A love for pastry and a willingness to experiment and innovate in the kitchen.
Food - Safety Knowledge:
Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with ease.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as business needs require.
