A Sales Team Lead supports the Store Sales Manager in driving sales, executing operational functions, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role provides leadership, guidance, and operational support to the team in day‑to‑day operations.

• Sales Performance
  • Assist the Store Sales Manager in achieving sales goals through effective leadership.
  • Perform Manager on Duty shifts as scheduled to monitor and motivate the team.
  • Hold self and others accountable for active participation in sales‑driving activities such as customer engagement, contests, and product knowledge learning.
• Customer Service
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with every customer, sharing product knowledge, answering inquiries, and resolving issues.
  • Train and coach the team to offer the expected level of customer service in order to drive sales performance.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally, striving to resolve them promptly and satisfactorily.
• Team Leadership
  • Assist in holding the team accountable during Manager on Duty shifts.
  • Motivate and inspire the team to achieve sales targets, deliver excellent customer service, and drive company initiatives.
  • Adjust team priorities to meet goals and store initiatives.
  • Offer on‑the‑spot coaching to correct actions or provide training.
  • Communicate employee concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
• Product Knowledge & Visual Merchandising
  • Remain updated on key sales drives and product resources.
  • Train team members on merchandise features and selling techniques.
  • Ensure merchandise displays meet visual merchandising standards and company guidelines.
• Departments of Responsibility
  • Understand and execute shared responsibilities with assigned department.

• General Leadership Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws such as minor compliance, OSHA, and time‑keeping.

• Previous experience in retail or sales.
• Demonstrated leadership and delegation skills with ability to hold team members accountable.
• Confident, proactive, and willing to take on workplace challenges.
• Ability to multi‑task and change priorities as necessary.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to convey important information clearly.
• Quick decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities, especially in customer service.
• Ability to read key reporting and learn the POS system with standard training.

• Bend, twist, stoop, stand for extended periods.
• Lift or carry materials up to 50 lbs.
