We are expanding our national footprint and seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team.
Position SummaryThe EPMS Estimator & Sales Development Specialist plays a pivotal role at the intersection of engineering and sales—combining technical acumen with customer engagement. This role is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates and proposals for Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) while actively identifying, qualifying, and nurturing early-stage opportunities in the sales pipeline.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, data monitoring technologies, and energy management solutions, along with the communication skills to engage prospects, support the sales process, and help clients solve complex power monitoring challenges. Working closely with both the engineering and sales teams, this role ensures that proposals are technically sound, competitively priced, and aligned with customer needs.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate & Propose: Develop accurate cost estimates, proposals, and technical scopes for Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) projects, including materials, labor, software, and integration.
- Prospect & Qualify: Research, identify, and engage new business opportunities across target sectors (utilities, data centers, hospitals, education, industrial facilities) and coordinate site visits with account managers.
- Lead Management: Respond promptly to inbound inquiries, qualify prospects, and nurture leads through early engagement and discovery calls to understand technical and commercial needs.
- Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to refine proposals, optimize messaging, and align technical solutions with client objectives.
- Vendor & Market Coordination: Obtain supplier quotes, validate pricing, and monitor industry trends, technology updates, and competitive activity.
- CRM & Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate opportunity data, document client interactions, and track proposal progress within the CRM system.
- Proposal Execution: Prepare and deliver high-quality, timely proposals that balance technical precision with commercial competitiveness.
- Event & Campaign Support: Assist with follow-up from trade shows, webinars, and marketing campaigns to convert engagement into qualified opportunities.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer engagement—preferably in electrical power systems, automation, or industrial technology.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a professional, consultative approach.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
