We are looking for a Business Development Manager to support our SJE Revere brand. This role will be based in the Southeast.

The Job

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for meeting the order goals of assigned accounts, industries, and/or territories while achieving satisfactory margin performance at the time of order entry. You will sell the Engineered Control Solutions and Services for the Municipal Water/Wastewater Industry brands within the assigned territory or accounts in support of the Company’s growth strategy.

You will sell directly to General Contractors, Electrical Contractors or Municipalities. You will maintain an active sales funnel of opportunities that are approximately three (3) times the sales goal and provide a monthly forecast. You will demonstrate knowledge of the organizational structure and political landscape within your assigned accounts, and you will direct the sales strategy for your assigned accounts while incorporating and leading other Revere team members in significant sales pursuits.

You will also demonstrate an understanding of customer business drivers, project development, and funding practices.

Position Responsibilities
  • Achieve the annually assigned orders plan for projects and services for the Municipal Water/Wastewater Division.
  • Provide feedback, leadership, and guidance to the SJE ECS Commercial Operations group to ensure competitiveness and high levels of Customer Satisfaction.
  • Set sales and growth strategies for your assigned accounts & develop new opportunities regularly and record them thoroughly in the company CRM system.
  • Provide accurate information to allow for estimating, reviewing job estimates and proposals for assigned customers, ensuring estimates and quotations align with SJE ECS Division’s profit‑margin standards.
  • Identify potential opportunities through networking, regular customer engagement, industry publications, and the SJE ECS Division’s Lead Development process.
  • Actively engage with trade shows and conferences annually in the assigned geographical territory.
  • Provide an accurate forecast of monthly orders.
  • Direct the plan for marketing campaigns within assigned territory.
  • Adhere to the SJE ECS Division Core Values.
Education, Experience And Ability Requirements
  • Industry experience in business development, engineering, operations, or consulting.
  • Degreed Electrical Engineer with two (4–6) years of experience OR five (5) years of experience in the controls field OR five (5) years of experience with business development for automation and controls.
  • Knowledge of control systems and relevant application requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience reading specifications and drawings.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and practices.
  • Basic computer literacy – Microsoft Office Applications, Salesforce.
  • Strong affinity for sales engagement: positive, assertive, expressive, resilient self‑starter, etc.
