Utility Route Driver

Job Summary

Drives company-owned truck over an established route to deliver and sell products or render services, collecting money from machines and making change.

  Full time; days and hours may vary. Details discussed during interview.
• Requirements:
  Prior retail, stocking, grocery, and route driving experience preferred.
• Commission eligibility may apply.
• Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available.

• Service a particular route or location during the regular employee’s absence.
• Assist Customer Service Managers with daily opening and closing and training new route service personnel.
• Drive truck to deliver soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items, and sundries to customers’ places of business.
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines; collect stale, rejected, or unsold merchandise.
• Collect money from machines and refill bill and coin changers.
• Record transactions on appropriate card and/or electronic devices; maintain cash and product accountability.
• Call on existing customers to determine adequacy of service; inform regular customers of new products or services; listen to and resolve service complaints.
• Select items from the warehouse and load truck; prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; perform job safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid driver’s license.
