This position is responsible for leading revenue generation efforts across Central Piedmont’s Conference and Event Services operations, including facilities rentals, Harris Conference Center, and performance facilities. The Senior Account Executive manages a portfolio of high-value clients, develops new business opportunities, and oversees the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution. This role also provides supervision of box office operations and personnel, ensuring alignment with event sales and client needs.

The Senior Account Executive serves as a strategic partner to internal teams to deliver exceptional client experiences, optimize revenue, and achieve departmental goals.

1. Prospect and develop new business opportunities through strategic outreach, networking, and relationship building to expand the client base.

2. Manage and grow relationships with existing clients and key accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.

3. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, guiding them through the sales process and aligning services with their event goals.

4. Present event spaces and services, conduct site visits, and recommend customized solutions based on client needs.

5. Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements, and prepare and execute contracts to successfully close deals.

6. Meet or exceed established departmental sales goals and revenue targets.

7. Maintain accurate and strategic tracking of client interactions, sales pipeline, and account activity within the CRM system.

8. Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, production, and event staff, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.

9. Provide post-booking and post-event follow-up to strengthen relationships and identify future business opportunities.

10. Supervise Box Office personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight, to ensure efficient and customer-focused operations.

11. Serve as the primary point of contact for the eTix ticketing system, managing relationships, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system effectiveness.

12. Align box office operations with event sales, supporting ticketing strategies and revenue optimization for performances and events.

13. Represent Conference and Event Services at networking events, industry functions, and community engagements to promote services and generate leads.

14. Attend 10-day operations meetings and other meetings as designated.

15. Other duties as assigned.

An associate’s degree from a accredited institution in hospitality, business, marketing, management, or a related field, along with three (2) to five (4) years of experience in sales, account management, hospitality, or a related field. Candidates should demonstrate experience managing client relationships, closing sales, and working toward revenue targets. Experience providing guidance, coordination, or oversight of staff or operations is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, marketing, or a related field is preferred. Experience in conference services, event venues, performing arts centers, or higher education environments is highly valued. Familiarity with CRM systems and ticketing platforms such as eTix is desirable, along with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and managing complex or high-value accounts.

Working Conditions:

Typical office environment with occasional on‑site client meetings and tours across multiple campus locations. Limited physical activity may include light lifting or assisting with basic event setup as needed.
