As a Security Officer - Armed Area Patrol in Charlotte, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a professional atmosphere through customer-focused service.
You will work as part of an agile, reliable team that acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct armed, regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the facility, ATM areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site leadership and public emergency services as needed.
- Monitor access points and lobby traffic; verify identification and/or authorization, manage visitor and contractor entry, and assist with queue and customer flow as directed by site policy.
- Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation; communicate security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts in a timely manner.
- Have 3+ years’ combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR a college degree.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
