Temporary staff employees are ineligible for benefits such as leave and health coverage, but are covered by Workers’ Compensation. Non‑permanent employees working 30 or more hours per week for three months or more (or less than 30 hours but averaging 30+ hours over a measurement period) must be offered the High Deductible Health Plan within 30 days of eligibility.

$17.50 per hour.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State .
• Completion of an accredited police academy or prior law‑enforcement experience.

• Patrols and monitors the facility for situations that might endanger the safety and security of patrons, collections, and equipment.
• Maintains ongoing competency with security alarms, fire panels, video surveillance, alarm monitoring system, and door alarms.
• Reports daily to Library Security Coordinator on security‑related issues and maintains logs of shift activities as well as lost and found records.
• Uses email, phone and radio communications between Library Security Office and Campus Police.
• Initiates emergency procedures when appropriate and assists with the implementation of these procedures as instructed.
• Stays current on methods, practices, knowledge, and skills in all job competencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
