Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Monday and Thursday, 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public officials as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, control access to restricted areas, and report suspicious behavior, contraband concerns, and/or unusual conditions.
• Maintain assigned equipment and authorized firearm in accordance with post orders, Allied Universal policies, and applicable laws, while remaining prepared to support emergency situations and/or transportation-related duties if required.

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
