As a Security Guard – Unarmed Patrol Officer in Charlotte, NC

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.19 / Hour

Job Schedule:
Day Time Wed 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM Thur 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide customer service to clients at a technology location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, office areas, loading and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with badging and/or sign-in procedures as directed by site policy, and document security-related observations and actions.
  • Complete timely reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
