As a Security Officer Patrol Customer Care in Charlotte, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff. This role combines routine patrols, strong communication, and customer service, all while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.60 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM, Tue 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM, Fri 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report suspicious behavior, property concerns, and/or policy violations according to site expectations.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with customer service needs while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions across the location.

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
