Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Readiness in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Position Details

Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour
Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM / Sun 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including lobbies, offices, parking areas, and perimeter points, to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify entry authorization for employees, visitors, and vendors, following post orders and escalation protocols for restricted or suspicious activity.
  • Support cash handling and other high‑value operations by maintaining a visible armed presence, observing for unusual behavior, and reporting security‑related issues, hazards, and policy violations promptly.
Minimum Requirements
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
