Job Overview
Watauga County Sheriff’s Office is hiring a Jailer/Detention Officer to maintain jail security, process and release inmates, serve meals, and transport inmates.
Responsibilities- Maintain jail security
- Process and release inmates
- Serve meals to inmates
- Transport inmates within the facility and to external sites
- High school graduation or equivalent education and experience
Salary range: $51,491 - $54,067 depending on qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, retirement, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
