Security Guard

Protect the safety of the guests, the employees, and the hotel at all times.

Respond to all emergencies that take place on property, notify management and other department personnel, and complete written incident reports.

Respond to and investigate any guests concerns, disturbances, or  alert and report any suspicious activity or dangerous behavior.

Patrol interior hallways, lobby areas, and stairwells.

Patrol all exterior sidewalks, parking lots, and the pool area checking to make sure all door locks and gate locks are working properly.

Check in with front desk in thirty-minute intervals.

Pick up trash and make sure that all common areas are free of debris

Loiterers that are unregistered guests should be escorted off the property.

Check to make sure all parking lots and building lighting is working. Report any light outages on the maintenance log so they can be fixed the next  courteous to guests and offer customer service at all times.

Complete the security shift log and communicate all activity encountered during your shift.

Security Personnel should not be in a vacant guest room for any reason. They should only be in an occupied room when responding to a concern, front desk request, or emergency.

Please offer contact information to management in case you need to be notified of schedule changes or security issues.

Assist other departments when needed

High school diploma or GED Minimum age requirement (often 18 or 21)
Clean or acceptable criminal background

Valid government-issued IDAbility to pass a background check and sometimes drug screening

Good communication and observation skills

Ability to stand/walk for extended periodsCPR/First Aid training can be an advantage
