Job Overview

The Apprenticeship Program is a 12‑month targeted program designed to cultivate and develop future Technicians and Mechanics. The program challenges and grows individuals through on‑the‑job training, classroom learning, assigned senior leadership mentors/peer coaches, and other learning avenues. The Apprentice Technician will learn preventive maintenance and repair on various equipment types, and will progress toward a full‑time mechanic/technician role upon completion of the program.

Pay Rate: $18.50/hour

Program Start: July 20, 2026

Apprentices will be required to attend Central Piedmont Community College as a student while working part‑time for Coca‑Cola Consolidated to participate in this Apprenticeship Program.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate and report on assigned learning objectives; spend time with assigned peer coach and meet key milestones through demonstrating proficiency and critical thinking skills.
  • Provide a high level of service to both internal and external customers and communicate regularly with leaders and peer coaches.
  • Travel to other areas within the territory to learn from various leaders and experienced mechanics and technicians.
  • Show business acumen and understanding of each milestone through assessments and leadership feedback; placement within the organization will be based on performance, skillsets, and business needs.
  • Complete required coursework and maintain performance standards in both classroom and on‑the‑job settings.
  • Perform some electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repair of customer vehicles and equipment under mentor direction, including material handling, trailers, and diesel‑powered equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Dependable, trustworthy, timely self‑starter with strong communication and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Complete a CDL A license by the end of the 1‑year program.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
